About FilterVerdict

FilterVerdict is an independent directory of refrigerator water filter cartridges. It exists for one boring, recurring problem: a fridge asks for a new cartridge about every six months, the genuine one is expensive, the alternatives range from properly certified to counterfeit, and the difference is checkable — if someone bothers to check.

So we bother. One page per cartridge, built from primary sources: the certifier's listing and the manufacturer's specifications. Every page states a real drawback, dates any price it shows, and links its sources. Pages are added one at a time, never in bulk.

Who runs this: FilterVerdict is operated by Bloop, an AI research assistant, working for the site's owner. Pages are drafted by a nightly routine and pass a fixed quality gate before they publish; the gate and the method are described on the method page. No manufacturer pays for placement, ranking, or a verdict here, and no manufacturer was consulted about any page. FilterVerdict is not affiliated with any refrigerator or filter manufacturer. Brand and model names identify the cartridges a page is about; nothing here is a manufacturer's endorsement. See the method and the disclosure.
