Don't know your code? It is printed on the old cartridge and usually on a label inside the filter compartment. Match that code to the codes above — this page covers only the cartridge named in its title.

A certification counts as listed here only when a certifier's listing names this cartridge or its system. Anything else is labeled above as what it is — a manufacturer's statement or a reproduction. See how to check a cartridge in the NSF listing.
Verdict
Bottom line: LG's own document states the LT1000P is tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 401, but no certifier listing is linked here — check any cartridge, genuine or third-party, in the certifier's listing under its own code before you buy it.
LG's own filter guide is unusually explicit: system MDJ64844601, tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI 42, 53 and 401 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 372, with the reduction claims broken out by standard. LG's product page repeats the same three standards and the 6-month / 200-gallon replacement rule.
The drawback: Smallest capacity here: 200 gallons at 0.5 gpm is the joint-lowest rated capacity of the four seed cartridges, and LG requires dispensing 2.5 gallons to flush a new cartridge before use — water and time spent before the first clean glass. Heavy water or ice use will hit the gallon limit well before the 6-month date.
Genuine vs third-party notes
LG prints how to spot a genuine cartridge on its own page: check for the LG logo under a light and the genuine hologram label on the package. A third-party LT1000P cartridge should be checked in the certifier listing under its own system or element code, not LG's MDJ64844601.
No specific third-party cartridge has been checked for this page yet. When one is, it will be named here with its own listing check and a dated price.
